As an investment advisor representative of RetireWise Tax and Wealth Advisors, Inc., and an insurance professional, Jon serves his clients in a fiduciary capacity, always working in their best interest. Jon has over 10 years of experience in the financial services profession helping his clients make educated decisions while working together to develop proactive and tax-efficient approaches to their finances. He is partners with his father, Jeff Vogel, who began in the profession in 1986, and has benefited tremendously from his father’s knowledge and experience. Jeff founded RetireWise in 1996, and Jon is now partners with him in their firm located in Topeka, KS. Jon, Jeff, and the RetireWise team are passionate about educating their clients in the 5 Worlds of Wealth: income, investments, taxes, healthcare/protection, and estate/legacy planning. He also loves giving back to the community through avenues such as serving as the AFEA Chapter President and offering educational classes to the public.
Jon began work with Jeff while in college and continued afterwards until he felt called to attend seminary, and to begin YoungLife, a Christian outreach organization, on Washburn University’s campus. His heart for ministry carried directly over to his profession in personal finances in helping clients understand what it is they really want out of the third chapter of their life.
Jon takes time to get to know his clients, along with their hopes and dreams. From there strategies are developed to go live them out. He loves to tell them after crafting these strategies together, “Now stop worrying, and start living, we’ve got this.” Much of what he loves in his work is the continued relationship with his clients in helping them stay on the Path of More, by regularly getting together for updates and monthly educational workshops in the RetireWise events room in their office. RetireWise has a wonderful community of clients who enjoy being around each other and sharing life together.
In his free time, Jon loves being with his wife, Brittney, and their son and daughter, Forest and Marley. He loves coaching Forest and Marley’s soccer teams and simply being outdoors enjoying God’s creation. When time allows, he enjoys hiking 14ers in Colorado. He is actively involved in his church, Fellowship Bible Church, and in supporting ministries such as YoungLife and Trash Mountain.
