Scott McGimpsey's trajectory in the financial services industry is both unique and remarkable.
The youngest of nine children, born in working-class Bayonne, New Jersey, Scott ventured across New York Harbor, to Wall Street when he was 21 years old.
With no background in the financial industry, but with tenacity honed as a boxer in his teenage years, Scott became a stockbroker and slowly but surely began achieving success.
Scott’s ethic remains his north star to this day - Put the client first!
His dedication to helping people led him to briefly step away from finance, taking a paid position as a firefighter with the Bayonne Fire Department. A short time later, he was back as a stockbroker helping families with their finances, while continuing to save lives fighting fires.
Mr. McGimpsey grew in both of his callings, becoming a fire captain, while going beyond stockbrokerage and becoming a financial advisor and insurance professional.
Scott has always walked his talk. With volunteers from the Bayonne Fire Department, he responded to the devastation of 9/11, going to ground zero in lower Manhattan from September 12th to September 14th, 2001, in an effort to find and rescue survivors.
Scott McGimpsey's desire to help people is proven by a life doing just that. Now, having retired from fighting fires and disasters, he spends all his working time helping people secure their financial futures, so they might live their dreams. He spends his free time reading, playing tennis and enjoying life with his wife and four children. Scott lives in Middletown, New Jersey.
