Brad Olson

Chapter President

Brad Olson has been in the Financial Services industry for over 40 years. At both the large bank investment program he managed and at a southeastern Wisconsin regional investment firm he helped direct, Brad was integral in designing programs to teach clients how to meet their financial planning needs and goals.

More than a decade ago, in 2009, Brad founded his own firm with the sole purpose of meeting clients' investing and financial planning needs with professional skill, through client education and by utilizing a highly personalized approach. Brad has always been an advocate of education in personal finance. He earned his degree in business from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, holds several security and insurance licenses and in 1994 completed his Certified Financial Planning (CFP) designation.

For several years he wrote educational articles for a senior audience newspaper and he hosted a popular radio program, “Financial Wellness.” The columns and the program focused on educating savers and investors. Brad is adamant about providing unbiased education that is not a “sales pitch.”

Having lived in southeastern Wisconsin his entire life, Brad and his wife, Karen (a teacher), raised two children and have been heavily involved in the community. Brad helped Karen design a banking and finance unit that she used to teach her students the importance of money management by what a difference in can make in their lives. Brad has been very involved in his church, the United Way and is currently on the board of The Salvation Army of Waukesha County.

When not educating and working with his clients, he spends time running. Brad has completed 50 marathons and half marathons, many with his daughter. But recently, Brad is greatly enjoying spending as much time as possible with his toddler grandson!
