Ty Cramer (as his wife likes to call him, by his full name), was born and raised in Northwest Ohio in the flatlands of the old Black Swamp, between Lima and Findlay. With a scientific background, after working for over a decade in wet metal chemistry and the iron and steel industry, Ty accepted a position to teach in China at the University Of Science and Technology of China (USTC) with a non-profit NGO. Prior to attending one year of Chinese language school, he received a full scholarship and completed his Master’s Degree Plus TEFL Certification at Wheaton College, IL. Ty spent over six years in China, Thailand, and SE Asia as a Foreign Expert Teacher and Teacher Supervisor.
In 2005, when he met his lovely wife Ruthann, also an Ohio native, he moved back to the United States and went into financial services, helping employer groups and individuals alike. He gravitated toward teaching Medicare seminars and has built four Medicare divisions for agencies in the Central Ohio area. After more than 16 years of helping 1000’s of clients, Ty found an affinity with AFEA to get people unbiased, verifiable counsel and advice concerning their Medicare options.
Ty’s driving mantra is “what’s in your best interest?” Proving that with his own parents and dozens of anecdotes from grateful people.
Ty resides in Urbana, Ohio with his wife Ruthann, son Zachery, and cat (who acts like a dog) Chance. He’s active in his church fellowship and leads groups along with special projects.
