AFEA Welcomes New Chapter President

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

 Northville, MI November 11, 2015- The American Financial Education Alliance, a national advocate for greater financial literacy, announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously voted to name Phillip Putney as the new Chapter President of AFEA’s Northville, MI Chapter.

Bringing 25 years of experience to the Chapter, Phillip graduated with his BSBA and Major in accounting from Lawrence Technological University and his MST from Walsh College of Accountancy. Phillip is always willing to lend a helping hand. Phillip is an active member of the Plymouth Church of The Nazarene through which he’s been on two mission trips to Trinidad with. He’s also a member of their board of directors and the treasurer. 

AFEA is thrilled to have Phillip join us in our mission to empower Americans to take control of their finances by providing educational classes and workshops in communities nationwide. 

As Chapter President, Phillip will be hosting free financial education workshops throughout the community. The Northville Chapter will also be fundraising to support other local charities including The Society for Financial Awareness. Fifteen percent of all funds raised by AFEA will be donated to local charities with similar missions and causes within the chapter area.
