AFEA Welcomes New Chapter President

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Fort Worth, TX, April 28, 2015 - The American Financial Education Alliance, a national advocate for greater financial literacy, announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously voted to name Richard Bassi as the new Chapter President of AFEA’s Fort Worth Chapter.

Bringing over 5 years of experience to the Chapter, Rich is a member of the Whitney, TX Chamber of Commerce, the BYU Management Society, he currently gathers donations for three different food banks, he regularly donates blood, and is a leader for a local Boy Scouts of America venturing crew. He is eager to use AFEA as a new way to give back to his community!

AFEA is thrilled to have Rich join us in our mission to empower Americans to take control of their finances by providing educational classes and workshops in communities nationwide.

As Chapter President, Rich will be hosting free financial education workshops throughout the Fort Worth community. The Fort Worth Chapter will also be fundraising to support other local charities. Fifteen percent of all funds raised by AFEA will be donated to local charities with similar missions and causes within the chapter area. Rich has nominated the Wounded Warriors Project, the American Cancer Society, and the Founded Flag for Fallen Soldiers to split the 15% percent of the funds raised by his chapter.
