AFEA Welcomes New Chapter President


Raleigh, NC, April 30, 2015 - The American Financial Education Alliance, a national advocate for greater financial literacy, announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously voted to name Erik K. Volland as the new Chapter President of AFEA’s Raleigh, NC Chapter.

Bringing 12 years of experience to the Chapter, Erik, a Bucknell University and Colorado State University graduate is a Certified Financial Planner (TM) who is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and the National Association of Plan Advisors, is excited to use AFEA as a new way to give back to his community. He currently volunteers at the Kraft YMCA in Apex, NC and Change the Triangle.

AFEA is thrilled to have Erik join us in our mission to empower Americans to take control of their finances by providing educational classes and workshops in communities nationwide.

As Chapter President, Erik will be hosting free financial education workshops throughout the Raleigh community. The Raleigh Chapter will also be fundraising to support other local charities. Fifteen percent of all funds raised by AFEA will be donated to local charities with similar missions and causes within the chapter area. Erik will nominate a charity that will receive 5% of the funds raised by his chapter.
