AFEA Welcomes New Chapter President

Rock Hill, SC, January 29, 2015 - The American Financial Education Alliance, a national advocate for greater financial literacy, announced today that its Board of Directors unanimously voted to name Ed Barnard as the new Chapter President of AFEA’s Rock Hill Chapter. 

Bringing 21 years of experience to the Chapter, Ed Barnard, a Business and Finance major, is excited to use AFEA to give back to his community. He is a Registered Investment Advisor who is a member of the Charlotte Christian Chamber of Commerce, the Charlotte Better Business Bureau, and Calvary Church Outreach Ministry.

AFEA is thrilled to have Ed join us in our mission to empower Americans to take control of their finances by providing educational classes and workshops in communities nationwide. 

As Chapter President, Ed will be hosting free financial education workshops throughout the Rock Hill community. The Rock Hill Chapter will also be fundraising to support other local charities. Fifteen percent of all funds raised by AFEA will be donated to local charities with similar missions and causes within the chapter area. Ed will nominate a local charity that will receive 15% of all of the funds raised.
